CRs among UMMers at Maroon & Gold Day 2005
Several College Republicans, along with over 80 other UMM
students and staff, look the state Capitol by storm on
Wednesday, February 23, to lobby the legislature for adequate
funding to build a biomass heating facility on our campus. This
facility would provide stimulation to the local farm economy as
well as saving the University, the high school, and the county
hospital tons of money.

CRs Travel to D.C. for President's
Inauguration
Following an exciting fall semester of
recruiting, campaigning, and celebrating, the Morris College
Republicans are fired up about a lot of great projects for this
semester. After a celebratory election night, fifteen members of
the group decided to head to Washington, D.C. to attend the
inauguration of President George W. Bush. Students left Morris
after only one day of second semester classes and took to the
skies, only to be delayed in Chicago due to a snow storm at
Reagan airport in D.C. When finally arriving in Washington,
everyone took to the south lawn of the Capitol for the
swearing-in ceremony. After all of the inaugural festivities,
the group took three days to see and learn all that they could
in the nation's capital. Now all are safe and sound back in
Morris and everyone seems to be eager to share their stories!
